How to Format International Addresses
If you’re sending something abroad, you want it to arrive safely and quickly. That starts with getting the address just right. Here's how to format an international address properly from the UK
The One Rule You Must Follow
The country must be on the last line, in CAPITAL LETTERS, written in English.
This is what Royal Mail expects, and it’s how we do things at Postworks too. Don’t skip this, as it’s key for routing your post correctly.
The Address Format
Recipient’s Name Street Address or PO Box City or Town Region, State or Province (if needed) Postcode (if applicable) COUNTRY NAME (IN CAPITAL LETTERS)
Stick to this order, use separate lines, and avoid unnecessary punctuation. Nice and clean.
